  1.      DIGITAL SYMPOSIUM '92 REPORT

  5.   I   arrived   at  the  party  place,
  6. Rotherham   leisure  centre  at  about
  7. 10:30  am  After  handing my ticket to
  8. the  door-men  (whoever  they were?) I
  9. walked into the main hall, I saw a few
  10. groups  setting  up the Amigas for the
  11. day  round the edges of the hall and I
  12. just  walked  around  looking  at  the
  13. projects  people were working on, then
  14. I   noticed   the   LSD   corner  with
  15. brilliant  airbrushed  logos by Fish!,
  16. So  I  went  over  to  speak to Pazza,
  17. after a brief chat and introduction to
  18. other  group  members moved around and
  19. started  chatting  to  USM/  Delicious
  20. designs  who  was looking through some
  21. source  on  Baa  Baa/?'s  Amiga, after
  22. talking  to  him for a while I decided
  23. to  see  the  LSD  demo that was to be
  24. released there, `Jesus on E's' (27 min
  25. Techno demo, Cool!)
  26.   After that I went off to meet one of
  27. my  contax, Delbs/LSD except I thought
  28. it  was  him  except  for some reason,
  29. USM/Delicious  designs  (The tall one)
  30. was wearing a sticker saying Delbs was
  31. him  so  I got very confused when they
  32. both said they were Delbert!
  33.   When   Elwood/   Delicious   designs
  34. appeared with the other members I went
  35. over  to  his  amiga  where  USM  (the
  36. coder)  wanted to show me Elwood's pic
  37. which  he  assured me was going to win
  38. the  GFX  Competition  (Which it did!)
  39. Anyway,  the  day progressed and I met
  40. some more cool guyz and mainly leeched
  41. around   on   Elwood's  amiga  playing
  42. `Pinball  fantasies' and going through
  43. his GFX disk (hehe)
  44.   Not much more to say really, the day
  45. went  by  really  quickly and the hall
  46. gradually got fuller until there was a
  47. few   hundred   freaks   present   and
  48. everyone's  screen on the whole either
  49. had   Pinball   Fantasies   or  X-copy
  50. loaded!
  51.   Later  in  the  afternoon the tug of
  52. war  competition  was  held,  I  can't
  53. remember  who beat who but I know `The
  54. Northern Bastards' won with LSD coming
  55. a close second I think(!)
  56.   In  the evening the demos, music and
  57. GFX  were  shown,  but  where  was the
  58. large   screen??   Instead  we  got  a
  59. monitor  on  a table on the stage, Not
  60. very    professional    Digital?    So
  61. Everyone   was   standing   on  chairs
  62. getting a not very good view!
  63.   When  the  results  came in, I noted
  64. `em down so here they are:

  70. GFX: Joint 1:Elwood/Delicious and

  75.   Overall  quite  a  fun  party for my
  76. first ever but in my opinion there was
  77. quite  a  severe lack of organisation,
  78. as   usual,  no  P.A  system,  no  big
  79. screen,  Ah  well  it  was  fun and it
  80. didn't  claim  to  be  a  `Party  '92'
  81. Challenger!   All  the  same well done
  82. Digital!

  84.   Just to end it off, hi to everyone I
  85. met  at the party including:  Everyone

  87. Maximan, Watchman/LSD,Ghost of DMX and
  88. also  Gemini  of  DMX  who  said  he'd
